Why not read this extract from the Joseph Rowntree Foundation’s Monitoring Poverty and Social Exclusion Report!

The Joseph Rowntree Foundation begins this extract by observing that less than half the working age disabled population are in employment and that those who are tend to be low paid.

It states that the high rates of involuntary unemployment amongst disabled people diminish their confidence, their feeling of well-being, and the belief in their own abilities.

KEEN hopes to work alongside other charities to help change the job opportunities available to disabled people. Ensuring a continuity of support in funding, equipment, and personnel from secondary school to further education and into the workplace.

Go on, give it a read!
